After finishing a musical-art-pedagogical secondary school in 1970 he has visited the class of a figure in Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture by I.E.Repin in St. Petersburg city. He is a painter and drawner. Ilyas is a Member of Union of Arts of Russia and Tatarstan Republic. Also he is a member of Art Associations Internationale A.I.A.P. UNESCO. Ilyas lives and works from the city of Kazan, Russia where some of his works are permanently displayed in the National Museum of Tatarstan Republic. His art is principally that of a classical realist and maintain the same techniques and standards of the Old Masters and mentors such as Velasquez, Da Vinci, and Michelangelo. In this gallery you will find more than one hundred representations of work from his early period until the present. Artworks by Ilyas Phaizulline you can find in private collections of Spain, Italy and England. Some of his historical artworks were purchased by the Ministry of Culture to exposition in National Museum of Tatarstan Republic. Several paintings were purchased for the Kazan Kremlin.

Andrea Allegrone moved to RI for her BFA in Illustration at Rhode Island School of Design and moved to Illinois for her MFA in Painting. Painting has always been a favorite choice for  Andrea Allegrone  to express herself. Andrea has shown in various places some including: Chelsea, NY; Manhattan, Sacramento; Chicago, Beaumont, TX; Ewing, NJ; Winston-Salem, NC; Lenox, MA; Providence, RI; Jacksonville, and Norfolk, VA to Jekyll Island, GA. The unknown inspires me since its existence is not definite or static. There is always an element of surprise when a specific acrylic-stain layer dries in a particular manner. The wet paint interacts with specific colors in accordance with various temperature and humidity levels in unique ways sometimes. Exactly how it will dry is the ultimate question. So I often wonder, why do certain events happen? What is the driving force behind them? Why does it rain when it is supposed to hail? Some questions are not meant to be answered. Yet they still exist and pique our interests. My paintings continue to probe natural forms and atmospheric environments in the universe, on earth, and psychologically. My larger works often focus on aerial views of water and land. Natural forces of destruction and rebirth challenge my art. Thematically these natural cycles involve unpredictability as well as inevitability. This dichotomy also encompasses society and man on a microcosmic/individual or more personal level. Powers of good and evil and the unknown are also often thematically interlaced in my art through color and hints of figural abstractions. How are my layers of paint interacting as an entirety? What lies beneath this particular surface layer? Perhaps these layers of paint hint at hidden dimensions of meaning. Overall, my work intends to represent reality in a manner which borders abstraction and "realism."

My studio is about a mile, as the gull flies, from the sea on one side and six miles or so away from it on the other. You've worked out of course that I live on a peninsula. So in one way or another the sea gets into everything I do, sometimes overtly as you can see in a piece like WINTER EVENING SEA (above), sometimes more subtly as in the recent CARN TO COVE, NANQUIDNO. Even when the sea is out of sight here you can sense its presence because the light that it reflects creates an ambience that is unique, an ocean light. IN THE OCEAN LIGHT was the title I gave to an exhibition of mine in Falmouth a couple of years ago and a virtual tour of that show is one of several that you can explore here. As you will observe from these images, a clear horizontal element within the composition is one aspect of the sea's appeal for me and sometimes I'll use a title that reflects this fact. In general I like to under-state as far as the sea is concerned, finding that its subtler moods lend themselves more readily to the process of translation into the values of a painting. Most of the OCEAN LIGHT collection has now been sold and as always with me archival quality prints of these pieces are now available. Certainly this special light from the sea finds its way into the festival paintings I've done to celebrate the events of Lafrowda day in my home town of St Just.
